WELCOME! Food Moxie offers many ways to volunteer, depending on your interests, skills, and availability–and if you’re a working member of Weavers Way Co-op, you can complete your annual work hours with us! No matter what brings your our way, or which volunteer opportunity you choose, we appreciate your interest and desire to help your community.
There are three quick steps to getting started:
1. Read the Available Opportunities below and determine what level of commitment is the best match for you.
2. Fill out the Volunteer Information Form.
3. Once we receive your form, we’ll reach out to schedule an appointment to discuss available opportunities.
LEVEL 1: TOPSOIL
These are generally one-off opportunities, so they’re a great way to get involved if you don’t have a lot of time!
*Table at a community event
*Help with a Giving Tuesday fundraiser at Weavers Way Co-op
*Lead a Moxie Tuesday workshops
*Help at a fundraising event
*Host a donation drive for our Hope Kitchen Fresh Start Kits
LEVEL 2: FERTILIZER
Sometimes, we need special skills. If you’d like to help us tackle a special project, this is the volunteer level for you!
LEVEL 3: BEDROCK
If you’re looking for a regular volunteer gig, this is the level for you. Because we work with students with autism and intellectual disabilities, and children and families experiencing homelessness, we look for volunteers who have the right demeanor, experiences, and skills. These commitments may also require additional training, an interview process, and/or background checks.
*Program volunteer (minimum six month commitment)
